How to Use Google Drive with DLU
Using Google Drive with DLU
The development of materials for a distance learning module involves the production of many files that need to be shared between the module leader (or team) and the Distance Learning Unit.
The most effective way to share and manage these file is using Google Drive. This allows everyone involved in developing the module to view and access the materials, and makes it possible to share larger files (such as audio presentations) that could not be sent via email.
This basic guide to Google Drive will guide you through a number of different parts of the use of Google Drive. This guide includes:
- Staff guidance for Using Google Drive
- Installing Google Drive
- Uploading files to Google Drive
- Synchronization of Google Drive
- Adding files to "My Drive"
- Downloading Files
- Creating and Using Google Docs, Sheets and Slides.
