Identifying and selecting eBooks for reading lists
Libraries & Learning Innovation has added a large number of eBooks to the Library catalogue to supplement eResources for the academic year. These books have been selected on the basis of their relevance to the curriculum and academic reading level. They have flexible licenses that permit simultaneous access by multiple users and so are more suited to regular use and to large cohorts than eBooks which limit usage to 1 or 3 users at a time.
Downloadable PDFs of eBooks purchased for the 2020/21 academic year are provided below. To access and read the eBooks, please search for individual titles on the Library Catalogue.

Searching for eBooks
The Library Catalogue is the best place to search for eBooks.
You can search for them in the same way that you search for print books, using title and author information.
To search only for eBooks, select Electronic Resources from the drop-down menu below the search box before you do your search.
There is an explanatory video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MpWEyTDj_H4
An eBook will have Electronic Resource in the title and a URL. You can use this link to access the eBook on or off campus.
Once you have found a title you want to use, see our guidance on Talis Bookmarking to add it to a reading list.
