Mark assignments in MyBeckett


1. Introduction

Important: Before you start adding any marks and feedback to a Blackboard assignment, please check that you have hidden any columns in Grade Centre that will contain marks you are not ready to release to students.


2. Add marks

Important: Unlike Turnitin, marks and feedback for Blackboard assignments do not save automatically. Please click Save Draft to ensure that you don't lose any of your comments. The following steps will take you through how to input grading, feedback and rubric (if using).

a. Access the assignment submission that needs marking in Full Grade Centre, see our guide to viewing submissions if you need help.

b. When you have opened a student submission, you can enter marks in the panel on the right. 

c. If you have attached a rubric to the assignment, click the down arrow to expand the feedback section.

d. Click the name of the rubric to open it for marking, or click the icon to the right to open the rubric in a new window.

Important: Feedback for Blackboard assignments does not save automatically, click Save Draft  to ensure that you don't lose any of your comments.

When you have finished adding marks and feedback, click Submit, this will add the student's marks to the associated column in Grade Centre.
