Bulk Download Student Submissions


1. Introduction

This guide explains how to download all submissions from the Turnitin Submission Inbox and also how to download all graded submissions with feedback as PDF documents.

You can download submissions in two formats, word or PDF, before or after marking, these are explained below.

Exceptions:

❌ You can't download submissions if set to Anonymous and the post date has not yet passed

❌ Late submissions that have not yet submitted cannot be downloaded separately later, the full download action will need to be repeated

a.  In your module, click view Assignment from the menu or Module Tools>Turnitin Direct Assignments

b. Choose the essay submission title to view the (Turnitin) Submission Inbox


2. Word bulk download

a. In the Export column, click the Word icon.

b. It may take a few seconds / minutes depending on how many submissions there are. When it's ready, click the word here to download them.

c. Click the downloaded folder to open it (in Google Chrome, it appears at the bottom of the browser window).

d. The folder displays all of the submitted assignments. Click each one to open up a Word document.


3. PDF bulk download with Feedback & Grades

PDF export allows you to download all your marked assignment submissions as PDFs with feedback and grades included.

a. In the Export column, click the PDF icon.

 

b. It may take a few seconds / minutes depending on the amount of submissions. When it's ready, click the Zip file to download it.

c. Click the downloaded folder to open it (in Google Chrome, it appears at the bottom of the browser window).

d. The folder displays all your submissions that have been marked. The ‘Manifest’ .txt file tells you how many submissions were downloaded and which ones weren’t included in the download.
