Course Development Principles
The principles aim to enhance students’ satisfaction, achievement and employability and engagement in their studies. Course teams are responsible for adopting the academic principles and applying them to all aspects of their course design and delivery.

Level Learning Outcomes
We build our courses around levels of study, we assess our students at each level, we name our awards according to level of study completed. Where do such levels come from? How can we design modules and courses, and assess students with confidence that our notions of levelness are comparable across modules, across courses, and across awards? We have a number of resources that can support you through this process. Levelness and progression across the levels of an award is built through the design of appropriate learning outcomes. Learning outcomes are the drivers of assessment and of the learning activities which support students towards those assessments. We have created a guidance document available to download to support you through this process.
