Practical Orientation

Practical Orientation

Practical orientation requires that students are able to navigate around their learning environments (physical and virtual), that they know when and where to go, and who to contact for classes, development, resources, support and information. Practical orientation is best achieved through designing a responsive learning environment with strong, clear, proactive and accessible support. A responsive learning environment is one in which students’ day-to-day queries and practical requirements are answered and met respectively.

You can access case studies from staff around the university on how they practically orientate their students here.
